WORLD'S BEST RECIPE FOR GENERAL TSO'S CHICKEN
It is perhaps the most common dish in (American) Chinese Food restaurants: General Tso's Chicken. Cubed chicken, batter fried, and served with a sauce that is sweet and sour and spicy and savory. It was reportedly invented around 1955, by Chef Peng Chang-Kuei. It first appeared in the United States in 1972, introduced by Chef T.T. Wang.
We at the San Perdido Trading Co approached Executive Chef Alessandra Andrisani with the project of perfecting General Tso's Chicken: to make the greatest General Tso's Chicken ever tasted. After several months and over a dozen trials and refinements, she has created a General Tso's Chicken that made nearly 20 test subjects cry with joy when eating this dish.
